Parliament will convene a special sitting at 4pm on Thursday as a tribute to Lee Kuan Yew, the first prime minister of Singapore who died today, according to a statement.

The statement, issued by the Office of the Clerk of Parliament, said admission to the special sitting would be for invited guests only.

There will be live coverage of the sitting on 938LIVE; Channel News Asia; on the Parliament’s website and on www.rememberingLeeKuanYew.sg.

Members of the public can pay their respects at the lying-in-state of the late Kuan Yew at the Hall, Parliament House, from 10am to 8pm from March 25 to 28.
