Istana Negara has confirmed that the audience of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday has been postponed.

Istana Negara's Comptroller of the Royal Household, Datuk Indera Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said it had to be postponed as Al-Sultan Abdullah was taken ill.

He said in a statement today that Al-Sultan Abdullah will continue to undergo treatment under expert supervision at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

"Al-Sultan Abdullah also took the opportunity to advise all citizens to calm down and take care of their personal health by adhering to standard operating procedures because the country is still facing the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Al-Sultan Abdullah told all parties to prioritize the well-being of the people and the country we love and may we be blessed by Allah SWT.

"Al-Sultan Abdullah also called on all the people to be with His Majesty to pray that Malaysia continues to be protected from all forms of threats and endowed with lasting prosperity," he said.

Ahmad Fadil added that His Majesty also thanked all the people, the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the Cabinet ministers and all individuals including Anwar who prayed for his well-being.

On Wednesday, Anwar in a press conference in the capital claimed that he had a strong majority to form a new government in the near future.
