A trading company owner was today released after spending four days in remand to facilitate investigations on SRC International Sdn Bhd in the case surrounding 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

The 28-year-old who was held since last Friday, was released on RM50,000 bail today by the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court.

Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahim ordered for the man's release with a guarantee from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) of RM50,000 -- RM10,000 of it in cash and the remaining RM40,000 as oral assurance from two sureties.

It is learnt that the man was arrested at the MACC office at 10.45pm last Thursday when he voluntarily showed up to give his statement.

He is also believed to be linked to a 27-year-old despatch rider who was remanded yesterday.

The Putrajaya Magistrate's Court had issued orders to remand five individuals to help in the 1MDB investigations with three of them had been released on MACC bail.

The man was detained under Section 16(a) of the MACC Act for alleged bribery.
