Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has described the strong partnership between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) as important for national security.

He expressed pride at the extraordinary cooperation the two security forces had by using the Blue Ocean Strategy approach to ensure peace and security in the country.

"During the terrorist incursion into Lahad Datu, members of the police and armed forces fought with all their might to ensure Malaysia was safe. We appreciate their good deeds and sacrifices," he said when visiting the Pagoh police station here today.

Also present were his wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman and Muar police chief ACP Mohd Nasir Ramli.

Muhyiddin said he hoped the close cooperation between the two forces would be continued especially in the run up to the 13th General Election this Sunday.
