The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has not received an official report or complaint about an elbowing incident between Kelantan striker Indra Putra Mahayuddin and Johor Darul Takzim (Johor DT) striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha.

FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said the governing body had already received the match report from the match officials but nothing was stated with regard to the incident whereby Indra Putra was said to have elbowed Norshahrul in the face, thus injuring the latter's nose.

"There was no mention about the incident but if there is an official report, we will investigate," Hamidin told reporters, here, Tuesday.

Indra Putra had denied claims that he had elbowed Norshahrul on purpose during their Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Baharu on Oct 5.

Norshahrul whose nose was injured had to seek treatment while his team lost 1-6 in the second leg to exit the Malaysia Cup competition on a 5-8 aggregate.

Hamidin said there was also no complains or official protest with regard to the change of venue for the first leg Malaysia Cup semifinal between Armed Forces and Kelantan, from the Selayang Stadium to the Shah Alam Stadium on Oct 18.

"We have not received any objection from both teams, meaning both teams are in favour of the change," he said.

Yesterday, the FAM had said that the change of venue was for safety reasons and to accommodate more fans as the match is expected to attract a large crowd, especially fans from Kelantan.
