The return of Tan Sri Annuar Musa into the top leadership of the Football Association of Kelantan (KAFA) portends major changes for The Red Warriors.

Its deputy president Datuk Seri Affandi Hamzah, who is also KAFA deputy president, said Annuar's comeback after being suspended for two and a half years by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) is likely to boost football development in Kelantan.

"In all honesty, we still need Tan Sri (Annuar) to continue leading KAFA to ensure the glory of Kelantan grows from strength to strength in the coming season.

"This is evident in the KAFA annual congress when we unanimously elected him to lead the association for the 2014-2018 term," he told reporters after attending the association's 60th congress here Saturday.

In the election, Annuar won the president's post uncontested while Affandi retained the deputy president's post unchallenged.

Two new faces emerged for the vice-president's posts, namely Tanah Merah MP Datuk Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz and corporate figure Datuk Nasir Hamzah while Datuk Rosmadi Ismail retained his position.
