PKR’s newly minted vice-president Rafizi Ramli today lashed out at party members who had blamed PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the Selangor Menteri Besar crisis.

He even challenged party members who blamed Anwar for the crisis, to join another political party.

“If the leadership did not take any action against the Menteri Besar, the party will be regarded as weak. We know many did not agree to this. Even the leadership was not unanimous in the decision,” he said at the PKR’s 10th Congress at Stadium Malawati, today.

“It is an usual thing if the BN blames Anwar. If we also want to blame him, better find another party,” he said.

Rafizi said the party is now like a warship on stormy waters.

"The stormy water is the people. The warship has to be always ready to cruise the water and face our enemy, UMNO BN who had hit us many times.

"Don’t hit our ship. If it sinks, it will bring down not only Anwar and his wife but also all of us who are on the ship,” he added.

Rafizi also lashed out at those who cry nepotism being practised in the party and challenged them to prove the allegations in the coming party elections.

“The attacks on Anwar’s family came from the within the party. If you are brave and believe nepotism is spoiling the party, then contest,” he said.

“If they were elected democratically, then don’t talk about nepotism,” he added.
