PUTRAJAYA: The Malay joget, Chinese ribbon dance, Indian classical dance, Ngiluk (Sabah) and Ngajat (Sarawak) that will be accompanied by the Keluarga Malaysia song, is the main attraction during the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2022 launch at Dataran Putrajaya, this Saturday.

The Information Department (JaPen) Pentarama choreographer Jafly Jaapar said the interpretive dance moves that correspond with the lyrics of the Keluarga Malaysia song are expected to be the 'wow' factor for the event.

"We combine the five dances in one song...to reflect the beauty of ethnic diversity in Malaysia," he told Bernama.

He said 11 dancers will be involved in the three-minute performance accompanied by the Keluarga Malaysia song, which lyrics were written by the Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

More than 10,000 Malaysian Family members are expected to attend the ceremony, which is one of the main events to enliven the National Month celebrations this year.

Jafly, who has been involved in the field for more than a decade said he prioritises uniformity and dancers' compatibality to ensure that they can deliver the performance in line with the National Day theme, namely 'Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama' (Keluarga Malaysia - Standing Strong Together).
