Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari said he will not repeat any of his statement in court pertaining to the Sodomy II case at any forum.

He said his statements before this had been registered as court statement and trial proceeding records.
“So, I think, I don’t have to repeat it anymore outside courtroom. The accused had been found guilty and is serving the sentence,” he said in a statement, exclusive to Astro AWANI.

However, Mohd Saiful said any parties wanting to analyse the case and its ruling, have the rights to do so as long as it is does not go against the law.

He also believes the criminal proceeding against Anwar had ended and all parties – the accuser and the accused – have been given a fair trial.

“I believe the courts have given the space to both parties and that the case has been dealt fairly under the law,” he said.

He said after seven years being involved in the case, he will now focus on his family’s financial needs.

The Federal Court on February 10 dismissed Anwar's final appeal against his conviction and jail sentence for sodomising Mohd Saiful at Unit 11-5-1 Kondominium Desa Damansara, Jalan Setiakasih in Bukit Damansara, between 3.10 pm and 4.30 pm on June 26, 2008.

Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria, who led a five-member panel, delivered the judgement and upheld the five-year jail term imposed by the Court of Appeal on March 7, last year.
