KUALA LUMPUR: COVID-19 cases Malaysia continue to rise with another 9,117 infections reported in the last 24 hours.

This is the first time that the number of daily cases has surged past the 9,000-mark since Oct 8, 2021, when 9,751 cases were reported.

The jump is almost 30 per cent more cases than the 7,234 registered yesterday.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah In a Twitter post said the total number of infections now stands at 2,904,131 since the pandemic hit the country.

Meanwhile, a total 22,928,468 individuals or 97.9 per cent of the adult population have completed their COVID-19 vaccine dose, and about 12,248,506 adults or 52.3 per cent of the group in the country have received the COVID-19 booster dose as of yesterday.
