The Works Ministry will bring to the Cabinet the matter on the cancellation of the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) project.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said his ministry will bring the matter to the Cabinet meeting next Wednesday to discuss the next course of action.

“This issue need to be discussed with all the relevant parties to find a solution with the interest of the people at heart,” he told Astro AWANI when contacted.

“Kidex was approved after it underwent the appropriate process and I've informed Selangor Menteri Besar, Mohamed Azmin Ali who had cancelled the project that we would bring this matter to the Cabinet,” he added.

Yesterday, Mohamed Azmin said the project was cancelled as the project concessionaire had failed to meet the conditions set by the state government.

Mohamed Azmin said the state had informed Kidex to adhere to the conditions before Feb 14, 2015.

However, Kidex Sdn Bhd (KSB) chief executive officer, Datuk Mohd Nor Idrus said they are currently awaiting feedback from the federal government over the matter.

He said it was necessary to do so, as parties involved to the Concession Agreement (CA) signed in November 2013, are the Malaysian government and KSB.
