JOHOR BAHRU: The Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (AKM) has netted RM5.26 million worth of business matching deals at its first location in Johor, exceeding the target of RM3 million, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The prime minister said the three-day programme, which began on March 3, also recorded sales totalling RM186,191 for local entrepreneurs.

He said RM49,110 of the sales came from six Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family) booths, RM130,447.40 from the Jualan Usahawan segment (150 booths) and RM27,811 from the Citarasa Keluarga Malaysia segment (nine booths).

Food truck sales also contributed RM22,346.

"Congratulations to the Malaysian Family in Johor. Let's hope this tour (programme) produces new added value that will underpin every effort to improve the government's delivery system," he said when launching the tour at Dataran Angsana here today.

Ismail Sabri said AKM is important for publicising the manifestation and implementation of continued efforts by the government to help ease the people's burden by reaching out to them throughout the country.

He said ministries through their agencies had been asked to hold engagements, including for resolving outstanding issues, at the state level one month before the tour date was planned.

"Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia is aimed at making it easier for the rakyat in every state to get information directly from federal government agencies through the mobile counter service provided," he added.
