PUTRAJAYA:The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Kuching district which was enforced since November 9, was terminated today.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said the decision was made on the advice of the Ministry of Health (MOH) regarding the status of case transmission in the district.

"Until now, the MOH has informed that the remaining active cases in the district have shown a declining and controlled trend.

"The Special Session Meeting today agreed to end the CMCO in Kuching district on November 27 as scheduled," he said in a press conference here on Friday.

PKPB was enforced in Kuching district from November 9 to 22 following a sharp increase in infection when the third wave of COVID-19 hit.

CMCO in the district was then extended for another five days since last Monday.
