Two Indonesian immigrant workers planned to go shopping in the federal captial with their first drawn salary.
Unfortunately, Genting Highlands City of Entertainment cleaners Andri Puwardi and Nur Fridil Gusman have been forced to put their plans on hold.
The duo were among those injured in a bus crash which left 37 people dead at the KM3.5 Jalan Genting Highlands yesterday.
Andri, 25, who is nursing a fractured leg, and Nur Fridil, 23, a broken right hand, have been warded at the Selayang Hospital.
According to their cousin, Irsad, the injured youths had planned a trip to Kuala Lumpur after receiving their first salary on Aug 19, as cleaners employed at the entertainment outlet.
The 23-year-old said Andri's trip to Kuala Lumpur was also to visit the dentist while Nur Fridil wanted to buy a new pair of shoes.
He was speaking to reporters when met at the hospital today.
Irsad said he and his colleagues were working at the resort when the incident happened, adding that they were only informed of the crash by a shop owner during an hour-long break at 8pm.
"Upon resuming work, my supervisor told me that Andi and Nur Fridil were involved in the bus crash at Jalan Genting Highlands."
Irsad said Andri, who was from West Sumatera, was married and had a four-year-old daughter, adding that the families of both injured victims had been informed of their condition.
