Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah did not consent for anyone to seek an audience as he was still under medical observation.

Istana Negara Comptroller of the Royal Household, Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said His Majesty was advised by the doctor to be in hospital for seven days for monitoring purposes.

“His Majesty has been advised by his doctor to stay in the hospital for seven days for the purpose of observation.

"Until then, His Majesty will not hold a meeting with anyone," he was quoted as saying by a Reuters report on Friday.

Ahmad Fadil on Wednesday said the ceremony to face PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the Istana Negara scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed because Al-Sultan Abdullah was ill.

He said, for now, His Majesty will continue to undergo treatment under the supervision of a physician at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

Earlier, Anwar in an emergency press conference claimed that he had a strong majority to form a new government in the near future.

He stressed that at this time the government led by the Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has fallen.

Muhyiddin, however, stressed that the allegation must be proven in accordance with the process and methods determined by the Constitution.
