1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) said the Democratic Action Party (DAP) was driven by its political agenda which was designed to frustrate and impede the implementation of 1MDB's rationalisation plan.

On the statement issued by DAP this morning, 1MDB said, it has consistently maintained that if there was any wrong doing, then action must be taken under the law.

According to news report, DAP was questioning whether top officials of 1MDB misled its board of directors in its investment decisions.

"As the DAP knows well, 1MDB is currently under investigation by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Auditor-General (AG)," it said in a statement today.

In fact, the AG presented an interim report on the initial findings of its investigations to the bi-partisan Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in June 2015, with a final report to be issued by year-end, it said.

The DAP was aware of this, 1MDB said, with members of the PAC including DAP members of Parliament, Dr Tan Seng Giaw and Tony Pua.

"The investigations by the lawful authorities are the appropriate forum for the facts and truth to be established.

"We are therefore surprised that the DAP seems intent on continuing to make a public spectacle of this, driven by what can only assume are political point scoring considerations," it said.

1MDB has pledged and continued to provide full cooperation to all lawful authorities investigating the company, it said.
