FAM Disciplinary Committee should not be influenced by media reports, to the extend it forced the national football coach, Datuk K Rajagobal to face charges.

That was the opinion echoed by local sports analyst Rizal Hashim.

“I don’t want to blame anyone, but sometimes these reports made by media can be questioned.

“Do they follow ethics or they have their own agenda? Actually Rajagobal can learn to be more careful when making statements,” said Rizal when contacted by Astro Awani.

In his opinion, Rizal said it could be true that a few mainstream media had acted as if they wanted to trap the national coach on previous occassion.

For Rizal, if FAM really wants to sever ties with Rajagobal, they should let him finish his job with the national squad for the Asian Cup.

“Yes I believe FAM will have to wait until December after the team is finished with the Asian Cup qualifying matches.

“After five years, Datuk Rajagobal has shown an impressive legacy for us to take one step forward, leading us to a new era in national coaching,” said Rizal.

Rajagobal previously was accused of criticising FAM when giving his opinion about the presence of foreign players limiting the chances of local players to shine in the M League rival.
