The unscheduled water disruption in Kuala Lumpur and Gombak is expected to revert to normal in stages in a week's time.

In a statement Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said the water capacity was limited and demand from both the areas were high.

The disruption started occurred yesterday due to a pump house failure at Wangsa Maju.

"The faulty pump has been repaired and operations resumed at 3.46 am today," said the statement on Sunday.
