JELEBU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob advised flood victims to continue to take care of their health, especially during emergencies and disasters.

"In an emergency like this, we also need to take care of our health. It will be a problem if we are not healthy, and also to eat enough," he said during a visit to the flood relief centre (PPS) at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Triang Hilir, Simpang Pertang here today.

He was at the PPS for about 20 minutes, greeting and talking to the 70 flood victims, involving 17 families, being accommodate there.

Earlier, the Bera Member of Parliament also visited 145 flood victims at the PPS at Dewan D'Sury near here.

Meanwhile, an evacuee at the PPS, Rosalina Abd Rahman, 56, said she was overwhelmed by the prime minister's concern for the welfare of the flood victims in coming to the PPS himself.

"Thank you PM. I'm touched to see him him. This is the first time I saw him face to face. It shows his concern for the flood victims," said the woman, who has been at the PPS for the past three days with her four children, one of them is a person with disability (PwD).

Rosalina, from Kampung Mentaus here, said the floods on Dec 18 was the worst in her life.

"We didn't have time to save anything, it happened in the blink of an eye. We did not expect it to be this bad. The floods almost submerged our house completely," she added.
