Members of the public can now channel their complaints and enquiries on government expenditure to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) via its website www.parlimen.gov.my/pac.

PAC chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed said the people could use the website as it was more convenient and faster compared to conventional methods like mailing or faxing.

"The website has a link to e-aduan (e-complaint) to enable the people to direct all complaints or enquiries. We will keep details of the email sender, secret," he said in a statement, here, Tuesday.

Apart from sending complaints or enquiries through the e-aduan link, the website also provides information on PAC's activities and access to the first and second series of the Auditor-General's Report 2012 which was tabled last month.

Nur Jazlan said PAC would also be uploading investigation reports such as on the Port Klang Free Zone and the National Feedlot Centre after they had been tabled in Parliament.

"This is a proactive measure taken by PAC in its effort to ensure the government's money is spent in a transparent, efficient and honest manner.

"PAC wants the people to jointly monitor all government expenses and not to leave it completely to the National Audit Department, police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission," he said.
