DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang who accused Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar as practising double standards over the Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) issue) is clearly confused, said UMNO supreme council member Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Ismail Sabri, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, said the United States Department of Justice (DoJ) report pertaining to the matter was related to money laundering in the United States.

"If it is in the United States, it means it is outside our jurisdiction. So, we will leave it to the United States to investigate. In fact, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak himself has said no one will be protected.

"He (Lim Kit Siang) is confused between a civil case and criminal case. How can the Inspector-General of Police investigate anyone who is not named (in the DoJ report)?" he told reporters after opening the Parit UMNO Division delegates meeting in Seri Iskandar near here, today.

Yesterday, Kit Siang, in a statement, accused Khalid as practising double standards for refusing to investigate Najib after Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Prime Minister's Department Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan was reported to have said that MO1 was Najib.

Abdul Rahman, who is also Barisan Nasional strategic communications director, on Thursday had explained why the DoJ did not mention MO1's real name.

He said it was clear what was mentioned as 'MO1" referred to Najib, but at the same time, many names were mentioned by the DoJ, but none of them, including MO1, were named as subjects of investigation.

Later, when opening Teluk Intan UMNO delegates meeting, Ismail Sabri urged the Malays to stay united and strong, failing which they would become weak and lose political power in the country.
