KUALA LUMPUR:A Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be imposed in Mukim 12 Barat Daya, Penang from Nov 6-18.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the CMCO was to enable the Ministry of Health (MOH) to conduct targeted screenings in the sub-district.

“As of Nov 3, there have been 35 positive COVID-19 cases recorded in the sub-district including 11 new ones. After receiving advice from the MOH following increase in the number of cases in the sub-district, the National Security Council’s (MKN) special meeting decided to implement the CMCO in the area.

"The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the CMCO is still the same as previously announced," he said during his press conference here today.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at the Taman Harmoni People's Housing Project (PPR) in Sandakan which began on Oct 23 would end as scheduled tomorrow (Nov 5).
