The number of COVID-19 infections in Indonesia has now risen to 141,370 cases, with 78,659 more patients under surveillance for the virus.

Based on data posted on the Indonesian government's official website on COVID-19, www.covid19.go.id today, 1,821 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours in the republic.

Between noon yesterday and noon today, 57 more deaths were reported, bringing the overall death toll to 6,207 people.

Jakarta province recorded the highest number of positive cases at 29,952, followed by East Java (28,239) while the rest were in the 32 other provinces.

East Java recorded the highest death toll at 2,037, followed by Jakarta (995), Central Java (791), South Sulawesi (346) while the rest of the fatalities were in the other provinces of the republic.
