Defending champion, Kelantan, and Sarawak have booked their slots in the Malaysia Cup semi-finals after beating their opponents in the second leg of the quarter-final matches tonight.

Kelantan trounced Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) 6-1 to move ahead with an aggregate of 8-5.

In the match at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Baharu, the home team opened the score in the 19th minute through Muhammad Norfarhan Mohamad to the cheers of 25,000 spectators.

Kelantan captain Mohd Badri Mohd Radzi slammed in a goal in the 32nd minute from a pass from Muhammad Norfarhan to put Kelantan two up.

JDT retaliated in the 42nd minute through Mohd Safee Sali before defender Obinna Nwaweri put in the third goal for Kelantan two minutes later.

In the second half, Kelantan continued its brilliant performance with Dickson Nwakaeme scoring the team's fourth goal in the 46th minute.

Muhammad Norfarhan added another goal in the 62nd minute much to the misery of the southern tigers following a cross from Indra Putra Mahayuddin.

Indra Putra sealed the semi-final berth for Kelantan with its sixth goal in the 89th minute.

Perdana League champion, Sarawak, also marched into the semi-finals with a 3-1 aggregate win over Sime Darby FC at Stadium Negeri in Kuching.

The visitors scored the first goal as early as the 3rd minute before their dreams were crushed by Sarawak's hero Muamer Salibasic's hattrick at the 27th, 55th and 85th minute.

The first leg match between the two teams at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium last Saturday ended up without a goal.
Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) and Pahang were the first two teams that secured the slots in the semi-finals after defeating their opponents in yesterday's matches.

ATM defeated Super League champion from Singapore, Lions XII, 4-2 at the MPS Stadium, while Pahang beat Selangor PKNS 5-3 at the Shah Alam Stadium.

The first leg of the semi-final matches will take place on Oct 18 and 19, while the second leg matches are scheduled for Oct 25 and 26.
