The four Selangor PAS state executive councillors (exco), who supported Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to remain as Menteri Besar, attended the exco meeting today.

They were Sallehen Mukhyi (Islamic affairs, agricultural modernisation and rural development), Dr Halimah Ali (education and higher education and human capital development), Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi (youth and sports, infrastructure and public facilities) and Iskandar Abdul Samad (housing, building management and urban settlers).

DAP and PKR had appealed to PAS on Tuesday night to boycott the meeting as a gesture of solidarity for the six exco members sacked by Abdul Khalid.

PAS Central Committee member and Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad said he hoped that DAP and PKR will understand the need for PAS exco members to attend the meeting in order to 'save' the state government.

Failure to turn up for the meeting will pave way for the dissolution of the state assembly, he added.

Meanwhile, sacked exco members - Datuk Teng Chang Kim, V. Ganabatiran and Ean Yong Hian Wah from DAP and Elizabeth Wong from PKR - were seen at the State Secretariat today, where the meeting was held.

Abdul Khalid told reporters that all sacked exco members have been asked to empty their offices soonest, but stopped short of giving a time frame.

Abdul Khalid on Tuesday also fired PKR exco members Dr Daroyah Alwi dan Rodziah Ismail.
