Early reports indicate that Barisan Nasional has unofficially won the Bukit Kota and Bukit Sari seats uncontested following the conclusion of nomination for the 11th Sarawak state election.

Chief Minister and Sarawak BN chairman Tan Sri Adenan Satem said he had been made to understand about this development.

"I've been informed that BN has unofficially clinched the Bukit Sari and Bukit Kota constituencies," he told reporters here.

Meanwhile, Election Commission chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hashim Abdullah said the EC would hold a press conference at about 1pm.

"Whatever news flying around must have come from other sources, not officially from the EC," he said.

A total of 82 seats, including 11 new ones, are up for grabs in the election, polling for which is on May 7.
