The owner of the blog Milo Suam whom the police had been hunting for days for making election related offence, was reportedly arrested late yesterday night.

According to Keadilan Daily which quoted a statement from Keadilan’s official facebook page, the police also went to the party’s headquarters in Merchant Square, Petaling Jaya.

“Milo Suam was arrested by the police and brought to Bukit Aman. Police is also now at Keadialan headquarters in Merchant Square,” read the statement.

On Monday, Commercial CID director Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said the Police Integrated Media Action Plan unit tracked the owner of Milo Suam who claimed that policemen had voted earlier than expected.

The blog owner will be investigated under the Elections Act 1958, the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 505 of the Penal Code for uttering statements that tantamount to mischief.

Meanwhile, Assistant Head of the IGP Secretariat (Public Relations) ACP Ramli Mohamed Yusoof urged those who spread lies to stop doing so.

“If one has false information, they have to check with the police and report it to us. This will enable the lies to not spread,” he said.

Since nomination day on April 20, the police had received 2,035 reports in relation to the 13th general election.
