Tired of the political intensity and noise of the 13th General Election, a few netizens have decided to inject a little bit of fun and humour for the season.

Enter “Parti Kitty”, “Parti Unicorn”, and “Parti Carebear"-- These three fictional political parties on Facebook are now getting quite a bit of attention, and 'supporters' online too.

Astro Awani took out some time to chat with the ‘presidents’ of these parody parties, and found that all three were all for politics that is more peaceful and less aggressive.

“My name is DW, I’m a girl. Why do you want to interview me, have I done anything bad?” asked the creator of Parti Kitty (PK).

DW, a 27-year-old managing her own business in the oil & gas industry, then explained that she started the page on nomination day after she and her friend realised "how messed up the political situation in Malaysia is"

"Everywhere you go flags are planted everywhere, campaigning is everywhere be it digital or analog. I believe most Malaysians are forced to be unwillingly stressed out by politics, no matter how hard they try to avoid it.”

She said that she was glad that word has gotten out so fast about her little project and “everybody seemed to be voting for PK now.” “I’m glad that I could lessen the tension that everybody is feeling right now

“The response is overwhelming! I didn’t know that it would get this far because when I started it, to be honest, I was in the toilet while doing the number two...who knew politics can be so cute and cuddly?”

DW said that she hoped, like any other Malaysian that the country can thrive and grow, and “all can work together in synergy so everyone can benefit without any blame games.”

Her friend is the 'president' of Parti Unicorn, Sheera, a 26-year-old business development executive. Sheera said that she too hoped that Malaysia would always have peace, and that politics would make people friends instead of enemies.

“Actually this page is really just for fun, because my Facebook news feed has been full of people talking and bashing Barisan Nasional, PKR and other parties... I was a bit stressed out, that’s why we are doing this.”

When Astro Awani tried to get a response from Parti Carebear, all it got was this enigmatic reply:

“No, you can't talk to me. I'm underage. I'm a shy bear.”

“The ruling government might try to hide the corruption but as carebears, we glorify it. Yes, Parti Carebear is a parody. Our existence is to create a balance. We can't let Parti Kitty rule alone. History has proven if you rule alone, you tend to abuse power...Peace yo but stay corrupted."
