A total of 948 areas that experienced water supply disruptions have fully recovered as of 6.30 this morning.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement said, 344 more areas are still in the process of being rehabilitated.

Percentage of rehabilitation by region involving Petaling (91.78%), Klang / Shah Alam (38.42%), Gombak (72.99%), Kuala Lumpur (47.37%), Hulu Selangor (100%), Kuala Langat (50%) and Kuala Selangor ( 99.25%).

"For the group 1 area which is supposed to fully recover by 12:00 midnight on September 7, 2020, it has not yet fully recovered in 71 areas due to excessive water storage by consumers who have started receiving water supply," he said in a statement on Monday.

Therefore, Air Selangor is taking action to stabilise the distribution system to restore these areas.
Consumers are also advised not to store and use excess water to ensure the recovery process for the affected areas runs smoothly and according to the Selangor Water recovery plan schedule.

"Air Selangor advises consumers to obtain official information through official announcements or Air Selangor interaction channels and not to spread unauthentic news regarding this disruption," the statement added.

Users are advised to refer to the Air Selangor application, all Air Selangor official social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and our website at www.airselangor.com to obtain authentic information regarding the latest water supply info.

"We request the cooperation of users not to spread such unauthentic messages to avoid confusion to other users," said Air Syabas.
