JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, today presented the findings of the state government regarding weekend rest days for the consideration of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.

In a post on his Facebook account, Onn Hafiz said that the findings have been presented to Sultan Ibrahim for his view and consent.

"Alhamdulillah. Today I have presented the state government's findings regarding the coordination of weekend rest days for the consideration of Tuanku Sultan Johor.

"InsyaAllah, Tuanku will make the best judgment for Bangsa Johor. Daulat Tuanku," he said.

On Aug 4, Onn Hafiz, in a statement, said that the findings of meetings regarding the weekend rest days would be presented to Sultan Ibrahim to obtain his views and consent.


According to him, he chaired the third meeting of the state government, discussing the realignment of weekend rest days for Johor, which was also attended by representatives of the government, private sector, education, industry players including banking and also the Malaysian Employers Federation.

The decision to be made will involve 576,691 students and 1.764 million workers in Johor, of which the majority (93 per cent) are from the private sector.
