Police have sought the help of those who witnessed the crash involving a "lorry hantu" (unregistered lorry) which occurred in front of a school in Bandar Damai Perdana, Kajang, last Thursday for information.

Kajang district police chief ACP Willey Richard said police had recorded statements from a few witnesses who were met at the scene, but still needed more information to assist investigations.

Two female students of the school were killed, and a woman hawker was hurt when hit by a van which was rammed by the lorry in front of the school last Thursday afternoon.

The students were identified as Lau Zi Xin and Wong Siow Xuen, both 13.

Meanwhile, an Indonesian, who was at the wheel of the lorry, is in remand for seven days since yesterday for investigation.
