Police are tracing a criminal breach of trust case suspect who fled in a police vehicle in an incident in Taipan USJ, Subang Jaya, near here, last night.

Selangor Police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said in the incident at about 9pm, the suspect, aged 32, fled in a grey Proton Preve police vehicle before abandoning the vehicle in Persiaran Kewajipan, USJ 5.

"The suspect is wanted by police in connection with a criminal breach of trust case involving a company in Puchong, after his employer lodged a police report on Thursday.

"Yesterday (Friday) the suspect was arrested in Kota Baharu, Kelantan who then taken to Subang Jaya police headquarters (IPD) for questioning," he told reporters after the 2017 Community Run programme organised by Selangor Police in conjunction with the 210th Police day, here today.

Abdul Samah, on the way to IPD Subang Jaya from Kelantan, the suspect complained of not feeling well and claimed to have a gastric and vomited.

The policemen who drove the vehicle then stopped the car at a convenience store and pharmacy in Taipan USJ to buy food and medicine for the suspect.

"While one policeman went to the pharmacy, another went to the car booth to take a tissue and cloth to wipe the suspect's vomit in the car.

"That''s when the suspect whose hands were handcuffed in front had leapt into the driver's seat before escaping in the police car which was found two kilometres from the scene of the incident at 10.35pm."

Abu Samah said the hunt for the suspect is in full swing and anyone with information is asked to call the operations room at Subang Jaya IPD at 03-78627100 or contact the nearest police station.
