The rounding of police patrol in Kesas Highway Awan Besar R&R area has brought suspect of burglary and car theft arrested.

Initial inspection found two men, one woman and two girls aged 6 were in the car as they were in a suspicious manner.

According to the Cheras district Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohan Singh Tara Singh, the police found a variety of weapons and equipment in the stolen Proton Waja car which had been reported missing in the Subang Jaya last year.

"The police did not deny the possibility where the suspect could have disguised as an officer following the discovery of a cap with a police emblem on the vehicle," said Mohan.

Also found, two blade sword, a bag containing a variety of reliable equipment for car break activities, drugs-taking equipment and seven road tax which only two certified true and the rest were fake.

However, the husband and wife, and their daughter was not involved in this incident and were released on police bail while a man was arrested.

"Interrogation, we found the husband and wife and the two young children were only a family acquaintance and not involved with the suspect in this case," he added.

The 40-year-old suspect believed to be involved in several vehicle theft, robbery and also for impersonating officers.

The case is being investigated under section 6 (1) of Explosives Act, Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958 Corrosion where if found guilty suspects can be jailed not more than two years and whipping.
