Controversial blogger Alvin Tan's action to question the revocation of the state award by the Selangor Sultan to opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim is most regretful.

Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said Alvin was seen as being brave in issuing statements through postings from outside the country while still in hiding was very regrettable.

He said individuals like Alvin should not have made all sorts of statements, including protesting against the decision by the Selangor palace, as it could hurt the feelings of various quarters.

"People like Alvin who supports Anwar Ibrahim, who was stripped of his title, and make all kinds of statement is a person who is aligned and on the same level as Anwar," he told reporters after attending a community function with over 300 village security and development committee chairmen of Kemaman parliamentary constituency near here, Saturday.

Also present were Air Putih state assemblyman Wan Abdul Hakim Wan Mokhtar, Bernama Editor-In-Chief Datuk Zulkefli Salleh and Terengganu Special Affairs Department (Jasa) director Adli Kesah.
