Twenty-two areas in Klang, Shah Alam and eight in Petaling are now experiencing unscheduled water disruption and low water pressure due to a burst pipe near the Sungai Damansara riverbank.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor's (Syabas) executive director of Corporate Affairs Priscilla Alfred, in a statement today said, the 4.30pm incident yesterday had affected about 38,929 households in the districts.

The repair works are being carried out and expected to experience slight delay, as the burst pipe is located on the riverbank and due to erratic rainfall, she said.

Water supply is expected to be restored in stages after the repair works are completed.

The places affected in Klang/Shah Alam are Section 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 32, 33; Kampung Kebun Bunga; Putra Heights; Kampung Bukit Lanchong; Jalan Kebun Nenas; Taman Maznah; Kampung Baru Hicom; Subang Mas Batu 3; Batu 3 Shah Alam; Batu 8 Bukit Kemuning; Bukit Naga; Taman Desa Kemuning; Jalan Mohd Sidin; Bandar Putera and Taman Desa Latania.

In Petaling, the areas involved are Pinggiran USJ 1 to 2; Subang Heights; USJ 3A to USJ 3D; USJ Height; Taman Perindustrian UEP (TP7); Putra Avenue; Putra Setia and Putra Harmoni.
