The UMNO Youth wing has lodged a police report based on the content published on the Sarawak Report website regarding the transaction involving government-owned company, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

The police report, which was made by UMNO Youth social media bureau chairman Ibdilillah Ishak on Saturday morning urged the authorities or the police to conduct immediate investigation to the Sarawak Report article dated February 28.

The website is said to have thousands of documents and emails about the transaction with exclusive access to copies of the joint venture agreement dated 28 September 2009 between 1MDB and PetroSaudi.

"If there is no evidence to indicate any offenses, then UMNO Youth urge the authorities to investigate Sarawak Report for sedition and for the website to be taken down with immediate effect," said the report.

It has also urged the authorities to open a thorough investigation on the alleged involvement of Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, mentioned in the Sarawak Report as the catalyst of the joint venture transaction between 1MDB and PetroSaudi.
