LONDON: Prince William has warned that people could be "robbing from our children's future" if the climate crisis is not tackled in time.

In an interview with the BBC in Kensington Palace, the prince spoke of his father Prince Charles's environmental work and said it would be "an absolute disaster" if his children were still calling for change in thirty years.

Prince William has joined forces with renowned British broadcaster and naturalist David Attenborough to launch a new environmental award, the Earthshot Prize, an initiative that aims to celebrate and incentivise people trying to repair the planet.

The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday in Alexandra Palace, London.
