NEW DELHI: Gergasi e-dagang Amazon pada Sabtu mengumumkan rancangan meningkatkan pelaburan sebanyak US$15 bilion di India, menjadikan jumlah pelaburan di negara itu kepada US$26 bilion, lapor Xinhua.
Pengumuman itu dibuat oleh Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Amazon Andy Jassy, selepas bertemu Perdana Menteri India Narendra Modi di Washington pada Jumaat.
Pejabat Perdana Menteri India memaklumkan bahawa Modi dan Jassy mengadakan perbincangan mengenai e-dagang serta potensi kerjasama selanjutnya dengan Amazon membabitkan sektor logistik di India.
"Perdana Menteri mengalu-alukan inisiatif Amazon untuk mempromosikan pendigitalan Perusahaan Mikro, Kecil dan Sederhana (PKS) di India," menurut PMO dalam satu kenyataan.
