Perodua, the national compact car maker, is aiming to set up another body and paint (BNP) hub in the central region within the next three years to improve its customer care service.

Its Managing Director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said the company hoped to have three BNP hubs to serve the central region market.

He said Perodua currently had two BNP hubs, one each in Subang and Balakong.

"We are identifying a strategic place to set up our third BNP hub in the centre region after the completion of our Balakong plant this year," he told reporters after the brunch session with the Perodua's customers here today.

He said the group had invested about RM3.6 million to set up the BNP hub in Balakong, which includes the general service workshop, and is expected to start operations anytime.

"For the northern region, we invested about RM1.5 million to set up the BNP hub in Penang to cater for the market there," he said.
