High Court Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan today dismissed Rosmah Mansor's last-minute bid to recuse him from her corruption case, saying he personally writes all his judgments based on law and facts.

Rosmah will have to serve only 10 years in jail as Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan ordered for all the jail sentences to run concurrently.

Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan will give the verdict on whether Rosmah will be acquitted or convicted on the three corruption charges.

Rosmah berkata, terdapat ketirisan atau kebocoran, selain penghakiman itu telah disediakan orang atau pihak lain, dan Zaini sendiri.

A three-member bench ruled on grounds that the criminal court had no jurisdiction to grant the declaratory relief sought by Rosmah.

Rosmah's defence trial concluded on Feb 23 with 25 witnesses, 23 from the prosecution and two from the defence including Rosmah.

Pihak pembelaan memilih untuk tidak memanggil Najib sebagai saksi pembelaan kerana keterangannya hanya bersifat menyokong.

The defence's team said it elected not to call Najib as a defence's witness as his evidence was merely corroborative in nature.

Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, was allegedly very conscious about her image and purportedly forked out RM100,000 a month to fund cybertroopers who were tasked to counter negative content about her on the internet.

This according to her former aide Rizal Mansor who testified in Rosmah's graft trial today involving a solar hybrid project which she allegedly helped Jepak Holdings to secure in exchange for kickbacks.

"She gave me RM100,000 cash every month to fund the team," Rizal testified at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.

Permohonan Rosmah untuk membatalkan perbicaraan berhubung kes rasuah melibatkan dana projek solar hibrid RM1.25 bilion ditolak panel tiga hakim Mahkamah Rayuan hari ini.

Rosmah burst into tears as she read out the last two pages of her witness statement on the second day proceeding of her defence trial.

Rosmah today told the High Court here that she did not commit any criminal offence in the solar hybrid project but should be the prosecution witness against her former assistant, Rizal Mansor.

Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor memberitahu Mahkamah Tinggi bahawa beliau tidak melakukan apa-apa kesalahan jenayah dalam kes projek solar hibrid.

Perbicaraan itu akan bermula pada 5 Disember tahun depan di Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur.
