Former Johor Darul Ta'zim II (JDT II) striker Mohd Zaquan Adha Abd Razak is set to join his new teammates in Perak for the 2017 Malaysian League (M-League) campaign.

Perak Football Association (PAFA) president Datuk Seri Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan said the Negeri Sembilan-born 29-year-old had penned a contract with The Bos Gaurus team.

"We will place Zaquan in the forward position based on his experience while playing for JDT II," he told reporters after chairing the PAFA's 58th Annual Congress here Wednesday.

Zaquan Adha rose to fame while playing for Negeri Sembilan, before joining JDT II in 2014.

According to Abdul Puhat, The Bos Gaurus, had also recruited 13 other new faces, including Mohd Nazrin Mohd Nawi (JDT), Jaszrin Jamaluddin (JDT), Mohd Shahrom Abdul Kalam (Selangor), Mohd Hafiz Kamal (Selangor) and Idris Ahmad (Felda United).

He said Perak had also signed-up two new import players, namely Bulgarian national Vladislav Mitkov Mirchev, and a Palestinian of Chilean descent, Yashir Pinto Islame.

"Perak will get another import player, and the name is expected to be announced by year's end," he said.

Abdul Puhat said he had high expectations from the players to maintain Perak's performance and targets in the 2017 M-League. - BERNAMA
