Reports have emerged that Selangor import player Ramez Dayoub has been banned for life by the Lebanese FA over allegations of match-fixing.

Another Lebanese player Mahmoud Ali, who plays for Indonesia’s Persiba Balikpapan has also been slapped with a similar ban, as reported by Lebanon based media Aljadeed.

It is learnt that both players are allowed to appeal against the decision.

Selangor, fondly known as the Red Giants, are currently in Kolkata, India ahead of their AFC Cup Group H match against East Bengal on Wednesday.

Dayoub, 28, started playing for Selangor in the Super League last season and has been a hit among the fans since.
