The guessing game continues on who will sit in Football Association Malaysia president's ‘hot seat’.

It is a tussle between Tengku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) Tengku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and former President of Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

The matter is confirmed FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin after candidates’ submission duration ended at Wisma FAM, 5pm today.

“TMJ and Annuar are the candidates. The submissions however will be analysed comprehensively at the Exco meeting on Feb 20,” he said.

TMJ’s submission was a clear indication that Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar will not contest for the presidency.

Prior to this, former Home Ministry secretary-general, Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat had withdrawn from contesting.

Meanwhile, it will be a four-cornered fight for the deputy president post and nine other other Exco posts are up for grabs for the vice president chair.

The FAM selection will be done at the 53rd FAM Congress on March 25.
