World number one Datuk Lee Chong Wei continued his fine form in the US$200,000 (RM646,754) Yonex Japan Open by moving into the semifinals at the Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo today.

The world number one took just 32 minutes to dispose local favourite Jun Takemura, 21-10, 21-11, according the tournament;s website.

Chong Wei, 31, the top seed in the tournament will now face Vietnam's Nguyen Tien Minh in the semifinals, tomorrow.

Nguyen, the fifth seed, moved into the semifinals after beating Ajay Jayaram from India, 21-18, 21-13.
