Any form of cooperation with the new coalition to be set up by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be decided only after the agenda of the former Prime Minister is known, said Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

The Selangor Menteri Besar who is also PKR Deputy President said, they will only agree to work together if the mission of setting up the new party is in line with the reform agenda championed by the party all this while.

It is a testament to the spirit of democracy and would help to nurture the spirit of consensus among Pakatan Harapan members, observed over the years, he said today.

"If it is about the spirit of democracy, we celebrate the formation of the new party because it nurtures it, but the democratic atmosphere is subject to the party's agenda and ideology.

"If the (new) party agrees with reformation, we will give our cooperation, to anyone with the reformation agenda," he told a press conference at Taman Puchong Utama here today.

Previously, Tun Dr Mahathir announced that he is partnering with Opposition leaders to form a new coalition featuring DAP, PKR, Parti Amanah Negara and a soon-to-be formed political party.

He said the new coalition will operate as a single entity against Barisan Nasional.
