There is no such thing as a perfect candidate, said PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

"How can we find a candidate who is perfect in everything. We have to accept a person's strength and weakness," he said in his closing speech at the PAS's 62nd muktamar here today.

The veteran politician also advised PAS members to remain consistent with the party's struggles.

"Don't contest as an Independent candidate just because you don't like a candidate picked by the party," he said.

He also called on PAS members to enrich their circle of friends in the party and practise mature politics.

"We should learn to forgive differences which can still be forgiven as long as there are lines for us to work together," he said.

He said PAS should use the multiracial society platform to practise fair politics.

The muktamar ends today.
