KUALA LUMPUR : Barisan Nasional's candidate for the Kuala Selangor Parliamentary seat, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has outlined his manifesto for the voters of the area if he is elected as their representative to Parliament this Saturday.

Among the initiatives the former Finance Minister unveiled include better internet access, upgrading the state of narrow roads as well as ensuring the entrepreneurs get necessary support to grow their businesses.

Other than that, Zafrul also touched on 'Latihan Kemahiran Kekal Kuala Selangor' -- a skills training programme -- to equip the people of Kuala Selangor with critical skills, with the aim to enabling more job opportunities in Kuala Selangor and stem the migration of youths.

"I also recognise the need for parents to send their young children to daycare as most of them are working. 

"Therefore, the public daycare centres under the Federal Government will be upgraded so that the parents are inclined to send their children there," said Zafrul in a four-minute video.

He also promised empowerment of the surau and mosques in the area so they could also function as a community centres.
