Intan Maizura Othman, the wife of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 steward Mohd Hazrin Hasnan, has given birth to a baby boy.

Muhammad was born at 4pm on Monday, 73 days after Mohd Hazrin went missing together with 238 others on board the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Born in Putrajaya Hospital, Muhammad is the second child of Mohd Hazrin and Intan Maizura,34.

The photograph of Muhammad uploaded on the Facebook of Era FM & Era TV received 63,000 Likes in the last three hours.

Intan Maizura had uploaded via Instagram, a photograph of her waiting to give birth in Putrajaya Hospital.

Flight MH370 carrying 239 people disappeared from radar screens when flying in the skies over the South China Sea on March 8 after take off from KL International Airport, Sepang at 12.41 midnight.

The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft was supposed to land in Beijing at 6.30am on the same day.

A search that involved several countries was launched to trace the aircraft, initially in the South China Sea, and then in the Indian Ocean when it was said to deviate from its original path.

After the analysis of satellite data showed the final position of the aircraft was in the Indian Ocean, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced on March 24 that MH370 had 'ended in the southern Indian Ocean.'
