KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN), Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (April 25) after suffering from small spontaneous pneumothorax.

Currently, his condition is stable and he is still in the Coronary Care Unit (Coronary Care Unit).

The former Prime Minister's health was confirmed by his family members through a statement today.

"Alhamdulillah, he is in good condition but needs adequate rest. The family greatly appreciates the prayers and words of encouragement.

"However, the IJN advises that he does not receive visitors for the time being," the statement said.
