KUALA LUMPUR: The THiJARI online platform has attracted more than one million users since its launch in February last year, Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) said.

Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin said depositors were inclined to use the technology and digital facilities provided.

"THiJARI is TH's initiative and commitment to make it easier for more than eight million of its depositors to transact online securely without having to go to a branch office.

"So far, THiJARI has recorded an average of 50,000 transactions a day and 1.5 million transactions a month, involving a deposit value of more than RM200 million online," he said in a statement today.

Amrin said the number of transactions through THiJARI also tripled in the past one year, reflecting high demand from consumers and depositors who were increasingly comfortable with the digital services offered by TH.

TH hopes more people will register as THiJARI users as it is safer, easier and saves time and money.

Depositors can perform online transactions such as making balance inquiries, printing statements, savings via transfer, checking haj status, and making haj registration and appeals wherever they are, including abroad.

Depositors only need to do three steps to register as a user on the THiJARI website, www.thijari.com.my.

The THiJARI app can be downloaded directly from Google Play or App Store for free to a smartphone or tablet.
